I thought I knew everything about you
But not every thing it seems
For the more I got to know you
The more I fell in love with you
The way you always were able
To make me laugh
Even when all I want to do is cry
When you knew enough is enough
And you stop teasing me
Before I really had gotten mad
All the plots we made
To rebel against the band
Yet every one fell through.
How you always seemed
To gravitate to me
And we would talk for hours
But then the boom shell hit
I could never be with you
So I only ever be watching what could have been
Author notes
yup, there you go.

I apologize if I sound rude... (and realize that I will probably come off as sounding rude) but I really see some room for growth here... not that i'm some insane poet or anything but I do spend a lot of time on choice of words... painstakingly making sure nothing sounds generic... though they still probably are generic pieces of crap... what I do when I feel at a loss for good wording is I check out really good AP poems, like Poems by Rue or Individuality, those are two great ap poets to start with... I highly recommend you check those poets out and maybe the spotlight or something if you don't want to do that... there's always good poems in the spotlight. However, I believe that any poem with emotion such as this should not go without merit... because just the task of putting emotion down into words is a difficult journey to embark upon my friend... so keep on trekking!
