Heart of Gratitude, Heart of Grace

"Responsibilty", she said, "in thought and attitude,
Accountability in every action, deed, desire,
With great humility, an open heart of gratitude,
Finding tranquility and yet, your soul is set afire,
In strict obedience, taking no froward latitude,
You shall experience all blessings towards which you aspire;
Step forward, execute the will to take your rightful place.
Rewarding such pursuit, I gift to you this heart of grace."

    This is very good! I think the internal rhyme is necessary to smooth the flow of the extralongameter. I think this will do well in the contest but I don’t see how any host can judge 67 entries fairly. Bravo!

    What a beautiful poem! I love especially the last line and I think you've set it up so beautifully, with the rigor of the preceding ones!

  • Oh wow, what a gift... It would be a fool who turns this down... Great write, short and sweet in my eyes though but enough...
