Here We Stand

So here we stand
At the end
Of all things
That we've imagined

Now it's time
To let everything
Slip through our grasp
And just let our souls sing

Left to die
We beg for the other side
To open its gates
And we swallow our pride

Turn your head
And open your eyes
There's one more thing
One more surprise

A light in the darkness
Such a wonderous thing
You didn't see it before
Because you forgot everything

We've all lost our sight
So blindly we wander
Over plains of bones and ash
Not taking a moment to ponder

Why must we obey
Obey what they say?
Is it too late
To turn the other way?

So here we stand
At the end
Of all things

Open to us

Praise the stars
Our happiness is found
