Talking to the Walls

Sometimes I’m at a loss for words
I search my mind, I search my books
And I see them jumping off the page
Falling away from my eyes
A blur of black
Disappearing

And I find myself talking to the walls
I watch my breath
Drift from my mouth
Hoping to catch a glimpse of a letter, a sentence
I can’t find a thing

Yet I know, deep down
That I have felt more in this moment
Than most have in their entire life
There’s something here
Something that makes it all worth while
An emotion, an experience, a memory
I need to record
I need to remember

And when I feel this later
The way my mind is running
The way my heart is beating
I want to return
I want to find this again
And know that I am not lost

Because there’s not always a name for something
Sometimes you have to write your own
You have to document the feeling
Your emotions
Life is a notebook
And you’ve got the pen
Creative a world of your own words
That won’t disappear

Awesome write! I really enjoyed this, the way you expressed how hard it is to find the words most times. Almost to the point you think there is nothing but you know for sure you've thought and felt. I loved the ending as well. Excellent write

Very good. I got a little confused in the beginning but by the end I found this poem to be gratifying.
