She was a beautiful rose growing in ruined earth
Her delicate, cream colored petals were absent of flaws
A rare rose, born without a single thorn
Her rarity made her special, vulnerable
One day a stranger, admiring her beauty, uprooted her
She mistook his freeing her as a kind gesture and loved him for it
She put everything she had into pleasing him
Making certain she was pretty and sweet smelling
He did not see the life in her
Overlooking her effort to live for him
Sometimes passing her without even a glance
Not realizing he was the light that made her grow
His carelessness began to wither her heart
She reached for light only to be answered by darkness
Remembering that she came from ruins reassured her
She was certain to find a way to grow once more, stronger.

Amazing write... Truly, almost lost myself in this one, I imaged 2 people though, and it is heart breaking how true this write really is.
'He did not see the life in her
Overlooking her effort to live for him
Sometimes passing her without even a glance
Not realizing he was the light that made her grow'
My favorite, sadest part...
Great write dear poet..
Keep your pen flowing with ink that never fades...
