Hanging in the background
darkness and gloom
leaning against the wall
in a crowded room
never felt this way before
never in my life
Smile and pretend there
is no strife
Can't say i don't like
the girl
don't know her very well
But being there when they're together
is like a 7th layer of hell
I should be with him
this isn't fair
so i'm left in the corner
left to stare
I can't say I'm not
happy for them
that just wouldn't be true
but I can't help
but be jealous
what else is
there to do

Wow
I feel for you! I like the way you didn't use any punctuation, it helped emphasize the lonely feelings in the poem. I like your username, too!
