Right and left flip like
aspiring chef's pancake practice
as the murky drizzle
of widened glucose
stretches to impair.
Nobody told me the rifling puffs
before your eyes would rifle puffs
before your eyes
- or that looking up backwards
would turn the world upside down -
and marshmallow toppings layer pupils
as suckling syrup pinches lashes -
sweetly sewing them shut.
Bifocals can't help you now.

This one bites the big one
Dear Poet friend,
Thank you so much for entering my contest for friends and favs:"zero visibility."
this write is so full of pain. your choices of visuals are certainly out of the ordinary and express the hopelessness you feel in being unable to do anything but being there and loving.
i'm so sorry.
would you be kind enough to place your username spaced out into the author notes and im with title once you've completed that; i'd greatly appreciate that.
until then
wishing you the best
and stay
