I Was Never a Fan of Canadian Bacon

Tumbling down staircases and wondering why the world must screw me over to no end.
It's a fake, it's a hoax, it's a killing joke and I don't want in.

I've been beaten and thrown down, affecting my mental state,
The skin scars, emotional scars, scars scars run deep, deepblooded hate.

Walk the road of a liar unto one's self, it's fine, guys, it's fine.
But you can only run so long before you're struck down again.

Thoughts of a war between sides flashing image pictures in my mind,
State the glory. If you saw heaven then why didn't you show me?

I fell to earth when someone clicked off the flashlight.

I just never was a fan.

So, so good. I love how the rhymes come casually, not forcely, and the line breaks....there's a complete thought there, in each line. Maybe that's not so new, but I love it. I feel like there's so much right there, blatant and in your face, and so much to be read into. It's a lot to take in, and the ending gives me this cold, awful feeling...the loneliness jumps out at you, right through the screen.

    It's a powerful piece.

  • I really love the way you write. 'Tis very unique, just like you. Hope all is well.
