My fate is uncertain,
it is unbeknown to me,
Will there be a final curtain?
Or is God smiling down upon me?
I cannot speak to anyone.
See, this did happen before.
Why must i continue to relive history?
What for? What for? What for?
The student never leaves the classroom,
Not till the lesson is learnt
How to conquer difficulty?
Victory must be earned.
This fate was one i never envisaged for myself.
As far from it as can be.
I wonder what will happen?
I wonder, what will fate decree?

I like that this can be about so many different things....two that come to mind are a love falling apart, or a prisoner (perhaps a freedom fighter)
I love the questionis in this....and the anxious flow of the words.
And the dichotomy of ..."what has fate (or God) got in store?" and "I must earn my victory" ...this apportioning of the future seems like the starting point for another poem.
And there are little mysteries in this "this did happen before" and "I cannot speak to anyone"

the subject of this poem is alittle unclear. But that doesnt mean thts a bad thing it keep the reader interested. Spend more to on each thing. Why cant you tlk to anyone. how does the student conquer difficulty.
