On The Lamb

Getting lost in thought or so it seems, a trip most frequently taken,
where the realities of the unknown and unseen, at least not of this world
are made manifest in the mind for the eyes to behold,
secrets of tomorrow, months and years away.
Being privileged and cursed with such knowledge
for nothing can be done to change the course of nature,
but to let nature take its course leaving in its wake
destruction and death where people cry
something could have been done to prevent such actions,
in reality, nothing can.
We put up blocks in nature's path and nature destroys them
and yet we still think we're in control.
The fact will always remain,
what comes by nature, leaves by nature.
Yes we can push buttons to explode the bombs
but nature will push the button to destroy the earth.
We may have our hand in its demise and cause,
but not the final say, and defiant we stand
against her, that she not know which course we take,
when truth be told it is us which knows not,
only that we travel into the unknown.
So while on our well thought out plans
of misguided paths, we struggle to achieve
brotherly love yet so many live just that
and are the richest but still poorest souls alive.
In death we are given life and in life we attain riches
in life without death drinking from the waters of life.
Where spirit need not bathe to be cleansed
for the process of purification is complete
and fire shall purify all.
The lamb has been slaughtered for the remission of all sin
and patiently waiting to claim His glory,
for the first shall be last and the last first to begin eternal life.
