The pounding echoes rapidly
Like submerged butterflies against my skin trying to escape
So loud the rush; louder then whispering thoughts
An ambiance settles its weaving ribbons
Into an entangled loop giving the sharp ‘I’m here’ touch
Sky-lit beauty of that smile arises upon almost ready lips
Breath-taking with pins and needles hinting
How easy to bask in the glow of such a curve
As the thirst for words; for music of rhyme
Shows in within a restless unspeaking walking frame
An ignited movement has been release giving sound: a voice.
Each word mouthed in silence or slightly aloud
Heart's fragments fall between each line
Thin pieces following every expression to where you exist
Standing there all alone at the shoreline I know is where you waited
My uncountable beauty pauses before me
And here suffused in each molecule
With a blaze of different colors of greens, blues and yellows
His lit up eyes look up to find me in the sunlight
Now noticed is my love’s his other crystal eyed loveliness just up ahead
And I find I am the other girl

Powerful imagery. I like what you did with the prompt. I thought that "butterflies" was an interesting choice in the opening lines as I never really pictured them with the degree of fear that the opening lines seemed to project.

That is amazing. I loved the imagery in this, and the emotion was amazing. Thanks for entering the contest and best of luck.
