Beyond the Darkness

Bind yourself to something strong;
The winds of time may knock you down.
They never said it would be easy.

In fact, they said nothing at all.

Hang on during the rain,
And even the calm has its dangers.
The storms can make you stronger.

And one day, I promise you will fly.

    I like the wisdom in this poem. Too many people in the world today think that things should be easy and should be handed to them. I disagree. There is nothing easy.

    I was taking it metaphorically myself. This could be spoken to anyone in dark times.
