Isolation

In this darkness there are no doubts.
Tears streaming downing my face.
You bring me down when no ones around.

There are no dreams left in me.
They have been destroyed by your anger and hate.
You laugh at me and  chastised me for my ambitions.

Treating me with disrespect and hate.
You have done this for so long.
Is this why you married me?

Your anger is like a twisting knife.
Any love I had for you is gone
My heart has turned to stone.

    Excellent!!

That poem highlights a very stark reality that happens a lot more than people think. People are always trying to put others down, and like cowards, always when nobody is around. And those very same people play the victim too often when people are around. Well done on pointing that out, and I only wish that I thought of writing such a poem myself
