It's funny how a phone call
can make me smile so much.
Sends me back to when we first meet,
the first time that we touched.
The sound of your voice through the
earpiece makes me feel so great.
Makes me think back to when I first
saw you, was it ment to be?

I saw you from across the room,
smiling amoungst your friends.
I spoke through an embarrased smile,
you've kept me smilimg since,
One I hope never ends.

Your words so calm and kind
" Have you had a good day? I've missed you "
They swirl inside my mind,
Your voice so warm and sweet.

I imagine your beautiful lips forming
those wonderful words.
If I were there nothing would be said
to be heard,
For my lips would be upon yours
They would do the talking.

They would tell how I've longed for you and
missed you since you've been away,
they would assure that my thoughts
were of you and have not strayed.

I've yerned for you in even
the simplest of ways.

It's lovely that a phone call
could make me happy like this.
Three minutes of sweetness
a miniscule moment of bliss.

Not the words spoken or the sweetness ment
could compare to the point behind it all.
Just to hear my voice again is what you said,
