There once was a maiden, pretty and fair,
Who traveled the plains with so little care,
'Til a handsome court jester captured her eye.
He had all the ladies in town, ever so sly,
So she waited for her chance to win him over,
Though the process seemed to move by slower.
She grasped him firmly, held him in her heart,
Even knowing he was trouble from the start.
Her heart became broken, the cut was deep,
He was not the man she would always seek,
'Til she noticed he had fallen on his own,
For he learned he had a heart that had yet to be shown.
He returned to her changed, down on one knee,
The Prince Charming she always knew he could be.
The love was returned, their lives became linked,
Their bodies and souls forever in sync.
Together they sit, and await the grand day,
For their lives to be blessed in a new way
With their very own Princess to run around,
A Happily Ever After, the best to be found.
