Yellow Fedora

Velvet hands part cobalt sky,
almost as simply as time had frozen
and etched itself upon canvas,
with the grace of a Renoir memory.

Her eyes speak of enduring innocence
and her heart of constant yearning,
waiting for the day that love
unfolds its tender blooms.

She scans the horizon,
hoping to catch a glimpse
of diamonds falling from the heavens,
to cleanse her sorrow filled mind.

The sensation of fallacy consumes her,
as visions flash incessantly
of a life yet to be traversed,
such shadows one should never see.

Despite the loneliness to come,
she stands proudly in the evening sun
and smiles with humble elegance,
to the stranger with a yellow fedora.

Congratulations on the trophy for this intriguing write that has one quite spellbound with the lady and the image of that fedora hat...a woman looking for her prince charming, and perhaps she may have found him! Bravo...the association with Renoir makes it a plus in my view!
