Mother, I know this technology is hard for you to enjoy,
It's spoiling your beauty,
But in my own little way,
I just wanted to say,
Thank-you for being you.
Mother, I know I haven't been perfect,
I've taken you for granted before,
But I wanted you to know,
That even so,
Thank-you for being you.
Mother, I know they treat you wrong,
Put bandages on wounds
That need stitches.
But I need you to see,
That I believe,
And I thank-you for being you.
Mother, I know, there's more to you
Than we could ever imagine,
And I need you to understand,
That through our ignorance, we can hand
Our graciousness
For you being you.
Thank-you Mother, for all that you do,
Thank-you for my daughter,
And this breath,
and your flesh I walk upon,
thank-you for the sky,
and the portraits you create,
thank-you for the nourishment,
even through all we abate,
Thank-you for your patience,
thank-you for your love,
Thank-you for the sacrifice
and all we see above.
thank-you Mother, for just being you,
Thank-you mother, for all that you do.
Author notes
I love our world. (Just not the people) Mother Nature is my one true mother, and I love her dearly.
I know I can never express my adoration for her on here, but I and everyone else can in our everyday lives.
