Mighty river untamed
Brutally coursing past
Settlements unnamed
On a relentless quest
To the vast open sea
Beckoning unendingly
After each rampant rain
Carving an unalike path
A foaming woodland lane
Conjuring life by death
As dark clouds disband
Over the violated land
Trees and rocks alike
All that is in your way
Nothing fends a strike
Of your furious foray
You just cast all aside
For gravity you abide
And when you lastly reach
The immense saline abode
Beyond the leaning beach
It isn't the end of the road
After you released the silt
Currents shout to be filled
You continue to travel
To far away continents
Streams begin to ravel
Forging life’s incidents
Beneath the flaring sun
Where wild waters run

Back to Origin ...
rivers are the symbols of return ... And to the negative side: an unruly person can also be seen as a river, overflowing its banks and not at all caring what destruction results. Of course saline always refers to both tears and sorrow on the one hand, and purification on the other.
A poem rich in metaphoric references and for the sensitive reader indeed a route to investigate.
Very well expressed, Chris.
