Wolf

I am wild,
so your kind say,
you walk on two legs,
and think you know everything,
you don't.

We know,
what you know,
maybe more,
you adore them,
the ones who,
get the sticks for you,
but we only hunt,
to survive.

Why do you hunt us,
if you don't eat us,
what do you do,
with the fragile skins,
that are peeled.

We are the same as them,
if not better,
we don't beg,
just to get a meal,
but they do.

We are grand,
beautiful creatures,
why them,
why not us,
we're good creatures,
we only kill to survive.

So I ask again,
why them,
the tame ones,
If we are greater, better,
stronger,
willing to protect ourselves,
not cower behind you.

Why not us?

What did you think

a good dark and twisting piece of poetry that sets the tone of the poem right away, one can feel the atmosphere breathing down one's neck. let the pain of poetry spill ink into the vast chambers of despair and heartache, as love crawls across the spirit's demise.
