Intento sacar alguna
sabiduría
de Lorca
en sus páginas quebrantes
entre mis manos,
en sus sueños lejanos
y pincel de titiritero.
Una pista de qué es el amor
verdadero;
Si dura o fracasa
siempre,
solo vivo
en la mente insana.
Busco sabiduría
en las palabras
del poeta
y nada mas encuentro
mi propia alma marchita.

I Look for Wisdom
I try to ween some
wisdom
from Lorca
in his burning pages
between my hands,
in his faraway
dreams
and puppeteer´s plume.
A clue to what
true love is.
If it lasts or fails
always,
only alive
in the insane mind.
I look for wisdom
in the words
of the poet,
and find nothing more
than my own withered soul.

I like the last stanza a lot. And the one that comes before it too. Both really speak to humanity and what I think a lot of people hold as two of the main elements of being human. Great imagery too.

This is great - with the duende of Lorca. I like in particular 'his faraway
dreams
and puppeteer´s plume'
and the search for love and wisdom in other's words, to return to the starting point - 'my own withered soul'

wc! great stuff... in English of course... since I don't speak Spanish. Up here where I'm at in the US, Lorca is real big... And I love how the character looks for the definition of love... in other people, the writer... there's something so sad about that to me. But the structure rings of a person who is on a mission to find out what this thorn in the side is! Wonderful writing... great phrasing.
