[ We're somewhere under the rainbow, ]

We're somewhere under the rainbow,
tied to the tracks
of a photo-negative life

Drowning in highways and carbon-copy corporation,
a commercialized widow's web,
xeroxed consumers
work their assembly line development

Minute hands creep around necks
ticking by the 9 to 5

let me know what you think

This seems to be a commentary lamenting the shallowness of modern day consumerism and business driven life. Certainly a pain for any poet to see. nicely done.

you've definitely hit the nail on the head. people are so trapped in a black and white routine life wrapped up in advertisements and greed.

heh, it reminds me of how futile life can be without purpose, without God, without family, and the absolute necessity to prioritize. "Not everything that glitters is Gold and not all who wander are lost", or so they say. Well done.

I thought there was a pot o' gold under that rainbow? Well written - it makes me enjoy my day off from work today a little more!
