A compass and backpack,
And matches and tent,
Food for a quick snack,
Sometimes a vehicle to rent.
These are the items,
A traveller would bring,
When going on a journey,
You don't want to miss a thing.
You have to know your way,
You have to read a map,
You have to know your countries,
In just a quick snap.
Catch a train or a bus,
Cook a meal on a fire,
Climb a tall mountain,
Feel yourself going higher.
Know the wildlife around you,
Wake up to a birds call,
Watch deer skip through the forest,
Help animals big and small.

This poem is sweet. I like the way it flows. It is a really good read. Was I able to help you, with some inspirations? Take a look at my new poems, maybe the way I write, just might give you some ideas. And if they do, then I will be happy, for you. Take care.
