How I adored you
So absolutely
That I stayed
Until I saw
You were hurting.
And then it
Dawned on me
So clearly;
It was me
Making you so unhappy.
Now I see
That’s when I
Made the decision
To leave…..
It took more than my will
When the well went dry.
Loving someone so very, very much
It tortures your soul
To even contemplate leaving.
They are not dead,
Yet you
Are grieving.
So much is lost
In that moment;
Your hope
And faith.
Some lose
Their minds.
I lost my best friend
And gained The Love
Of this lifetime…..
