Meaning

Why is this happening?
The emptiness is taking over,
I feel hollow inside.
Every thing is disappearing,
Everything but the pain.

Pain,
My heart fades,
Yet the aching never ceases.

My body is becoming numb,
Numb to life and it’s physical blows,
And numb to the pain that should follow them.

I kept praying,
But you never answered me…
…I didn’t want to disappear.
