I wonder, at times, how I can have such deep sorrow,
when the Queen of Joy is by my side.
She lifts up my chin and cheers me,
in moments when "all's cheerless, dark, and deadly."
King Lear himself could be swayed by Her wisdom and beauty,
and I rise at her command, and remember:
I am not here for my purpose alone,
but for Hers.
I have chosen my destiny,
but my destiny is to follow Her path,
and to further Her wishes.
I am the voice of the Goddess.
Now, if only I could remember that
when I am alone at night
in my hour of distress.

Great Job
Beautiful written words you have penned here, I just love these lines:
King Lear himself could be swayed by Her wisdom and beauty,
and I rise at her command, and remember:
and
I am the voice of the Goddess.
Now, if only I could remember that
when I am alone at night
in my hour of distress.

About the I's.
I had actually noticed that beforehand; a great deal of my poetry has lowercase I's. Commune with the Divine increased my sense of esteem as the poem went on, so it changed to capital I's as the poem went on. Anyway, I changed the I's as you noticed and hope I win your contest, or at least place in it!
