Where did my clothes go?

One night, as i lay dreaming,
I dreamt it was an ordinary day...
i got out of bed, got dressed, shaved,
all the things that I usually do.
and went off to work.
nothing was out of place...

until I looked down.

somehow, somewhere,
between breakfast and getting in my car,
I had taken my clothes off,
and forgotten where I put them.
and nobody seemed to notice
until I did...

Then, EVERYBODY noticed.

there I was, stark naked at work,
trying to sneak back
to where I might have left my clothes.
trying to remember where I had put them.

then I found them...
but they no longer fit.

This is a dream that a lot of people have. I had one in which we gained and lost fur coats along the way; go figure!
This was well written, and I laughed with you.

Ach so...zee clothing vould represent zee persona, ego identity; perhaps you are afraid zat if you forget to 'wear' it you vill become self-consconscious of exposure and therefore vulnerable to zee judgement of others...hmmm ... finding it no longer 'fits' could indicate you have outgrown zee need for it...or got 'too big for your britches'...
or maybe you're 'wardrobe' needs a makeover...

All jokes and pseudo-psychoanalysis aside, dreams really are a 'magic mirror' to what's going on in our lives, minds and souls. The answer is always there in the symbols, images and even puns our unconscious uses to speak through our dreams. They are not meaningless, we only need analyze the language of the symbols to know what our soul is telling us. The images are in accordance with what they mean to the dreamer personally, you yourself always hold the key.
You may leave the couch now
