Planets

How many planets can there be,
There's only a few that we can see,
Even when we know, we're so small,
So how can we be sure we've got them all?

First off there's Mercury,
A very hot planet,
Being next to the sun,
You really can't blame it.

And then the planet for ladies,
The planet called Venus,
If you look through a telescope,
You might even see it.

And of course, next on the list,
Is our magnificent Earth,
(Time to exaggerate),
It's always full of mirth!

And then there's muscular Mars,
The planet for men,
If you look at the night sky,
You can see it now and again.

Now for Jupiter,
It's very big,
You'd hardly make a dent,
No matter how long you dig.

Don't forget Saturn,
With his beautiful rings,
They always wrap around him,
Like lots of strings.

And next is Uranus,
A wonderful blue,
Some say it has rings,
But some don't know if that's true.

Neptune is named,
After a Roman God,
Who ruled the seas,
Now isn't that odd?

Definately not last,
But the last one we know,
Pluto is so cold,
It must be covered in snow.

There's so many more planets,
That telescopes can't reach,
But so far these are the planets,
We learn about and teach.

I've been learning about planets lately and I think all that was true. It was a great poem. Uranus is like tiped Sideways. Isn't it odd?
