Killed the Kitty

stardust curiosity
frees started memories;
become pictures
backing up forever

pretend emergency cures,
absent medicine;
sit back and watch
paramedics fall broken;
secrete revenge

imaginary traffic lights
shine;
their blurred demolition
of decisions
create false visual;
blinking chemicals
time choices;

bored pessimist,
give fictionist captions
to real-life stories;
controlled narrator;
never apologize;
never letting on,
curiosity killed the cat

    Please, please, please tell me what inspiration or thoughts you had in mind while writing this! It is very subtle in its imagery so I can't really grasp anything concrete here. My original impression was that based on S2 this was a poem about phony medical practices because someone let a kitten die in the vet clinic. But by the end I thought maybe this isn't really talking about a cat at all...

      lol. ok, i'll give you some hints. first of all, the kitty reference deals mainly with the whole curiousity thing. hence the last line. the whole poem deals with an evolving thought process of this individual.
      i don't want to reveal too much, since the point of the poem is meant to be left up to the reader. interpret from this what you will.
