Sweet lies, I can't help but believe you.
Your words leave me breathless,
I love how you sugar coat the bitter truth.
I’ve fallen in, I’m obsessed.

Great poem here! We are all guilty of wanting to hear something other than the truth and not wanting to be near the truth. Pour me some sugar. I admit to hating the truth. Keep writing!

Nice
Very well said. Some times it often happens that we know that the person is lying some how but still we ignore.
A very well expressed poem.
Great job and keep on writing such short and great poems.
Stay happy

Congrats on the hm, it was well deserved. I think you did a great job with the prompt, and with only having 27 words...this is awesome. Keep entering contests like this, it will give you practice..and practice always makes perfect.

great work!
i love the first two lines the most.
I like what you did with the prompt, "sugar-coated". It can mean so many things but I like what you did with it here; 27 words is a challenge. congrats on your HM
thank you for sharing!!

I like the rhyme in there, not completely original, but I love the wording in this and the imagery.

coolness! i get to be the first to comment on this! lucky me!!!
wonderful job on a quick write. i know the feeling of writing a small poem for a quickie contest and wanting to write more and more. and i also understand the wanting to make it into a lyrical write. by the way, when you do make it longer into a lyric, let me know to look for it.
good luck in the contest!
