The silence rings
With every breath
I take.
The thoughtless brings
Everyone's death
As we awake.

Destruction is on
The horizon today,

They want us to be gone
Long before decay,

Madness within my head.

There's only black light
That seems to glow
From within.

But we can propel.

We advance through
The streets of the town
So small.
We're fighting our way to you
In this underground
So tall.

Damn you,
Damn you all.
We're always true
Even if we fall.

Great worlds seem to black
Out in this desolation
So bright.
Damned systems go back
Out in damnation
In fright.

We can't fight,

We have the might

Seems to have a compelling feel to rise and dare not fall, ever, not even in the bleakest fog of hopelessness.
What images were in your mind as you wrote this?
It had me thinking of the french underground and the rebal alliance

I saw people running and guns were being fired because there were flashes of light followed by a bang.
The French Revolution was part of my inspiration about this. It was some interesting imagery though.
