Husband is not living up to his task
Father is hooked on booze and can not stop the abuse
Mother is putting her under pressure for a grand child
As she claim she isn’t getting any younger
Brother is a drug addict heavily bent on crack,
Sister is a prostitute men come in and out
To make things worse her best friend has just passed
They said it was due to substance abuse
In her mind her world crushed years ago
When she lost that unborn child
She became sad and wild
She doesn’t know who to turn to
What to do or where to go
Living is not an option anymore
Every night she contemplates on
Taking her own life
The noose is ready but
Will she have the courage?
She doesn’t believe there will be
Hope coming from anywhere to save her days
All she believes in, she has lost
Her confidants have turned against her
But she still manages to put up a front
So as not let her folks down
If only there was a way she could make them see
That they are breaking her apart and
Putting her on the edge of insanity
No one really cares about her pain
If only she can find a fresh new meaning
To this miserable life she has
She has her note in place
Sorry to let you all down but
I have come to the end of the road
Maybe one day you will all understand
That you each played a part in
Pushing me this far
By the time you read this
My life will no longer be mine
My soul will be far gone
This circle of life will be complete and
My mind will be at rest.

Emotions are pouring from every line in this poem. It is very powerful. Unfortunately, you've described the life of many and what they're going through.

Poignantly powerful...
If this is indeed a glimpse of someones life in truth..then I feel so aggrieved that this person finds themselves in this situation...reading this piece reminded me that despite the problems I face in life each day..there is someone out there whose life is far worse than my own.
I am unaffected by drugs...nor is my family exposed to them.
This write affected me on a very deep level and made me want to help this individual..no matter how little that is...when a human soul is tormented enough to consider taking their own life I feel its time to do something about it..if only by offering to talk about the reasons or trying to offer solutions that may make their life so much better...cling to hope...for hope springs eternal and miracles CAN happen!...I feel somehow privileged to have found this write and just wanted to say...NEVER give up on LIfe...there is a future out there...there is help available...but the person who needs that help must ask!

Bursting with emotion and well written. Very powerful. I hope real life is a little better than this. I think the saying "This too will pass." is true although some things take a lot longer than desired. Kudos for putting emotions down on paper!
