I used to sing
as if I hadn't a care in the world.
Each day made me glad
as long as I could be your girl.
You made me shine
like the sun's reflection on the sea.
You taught me how
to be the best version of me.
But now it's night
I might not ever see the day.
Life just ain't right
ever since you went away.
My laughter's gone,
now I can hardly even smile.
And though I'm crying,
memories of you make it worthwhile.

I love nighttime. Sometimes, it's like the day doesn't even start til the sun goes down, til twilight. Twilight is magic.
And the light goes away, then the sounds go away, and the people go away.
But then there's life, and peace, there's stars, and the fresh cold air. And plenty of time, for nothing else but you and I baby...

Wildwood Flower: June Carter Cash (look up the Resse Witherspoon version, it’s better)
