Fair daisies
On a spring afternoon
As the sun slips into the water
And young couples swoon
As light
Turns to night
As the party begins
All things are grand
All guests are excited
Everything is planned
But that man
That horrible one
All in black
Turns from the sun
Your radiant light
He somehow ignores
He turns on his heel
As they walk through closed doors
The witch
All in red
Your husband
In bed
How does he
Not realize you
How can he
Not be true
Oh fair summer flower
How perfect you are
So full of light
You’ve come so far
I wish I were yours
And you were mine
I would treat you so well
We’d be so fine
My love, My life
My dearest one
A light in the dark
My glowing sun
A fair sweet flower
On a day so lazy
None sweeter than you
My gorgeous daisy
