Sea-be

Waters stir
disrupted...

Not by the many swimming fish,
or the monstrously tentacled
creatures lurking in the full bodied depths.
Nor do the burdensome beasts,
the waters so weightedly bear,
cause this numinous scene.

But, by the frivolity of fickle winds,
breathed to dance across the water's surface,
frothing its depths with their temperated
gracings of simplistic ambiance...

Hot meets cold,
and the oldest danse macabre begins;
disturbing the normal reign,
in this realm of the animal kingdom.

Syphons are birthed...
Ships are tossed...
Lives are lost!

The God of the Sea is pleased
to have, once again, flexed a show
of not so shallow power.
Demonstrating a lesson
of non-complacency in the lives
of all who are touched, filled...sustained
by the simple elements of water and air;
both land-legged and sea-born.

The God of the Sea grins,
and is pleased...
Just for old-time's sake!

    I like this just as it is, I find it easy to read, one thing, some readers might be offended by CAP 'G' on God because a god of the sea is pagan and only God should have CAPS. That's not neccessarily MO but some readers might think so.
