You watch from behind the TV screen
The lives the actors portray
We watch the planned out situations
And the lines they must obey
But what goes on behind the camera
Is hidden from the public's view
For if they saw what fame did
They wouldn't believe it was true
This is the scene that shares a kiss
Between two hated foes
They tell the director they won't do it
But then their profit grows
Next is the scene where the hero fights
To save a so-called pretty girl
But all that is is makeup
Covered with expensive pearls
The final scene, the hero falls
And the villain gets away
The lesson here is that in life
You will never get your way
The actor takes a break
He can't believe his works
He sold his soul to the devil
To pay for fancy perks
Now all that will be remembered of him
When he dies a young and tragic death
Is how he was in front of the camera
And when he had to hold his breath
