The first time I saw you,
from the corner of my eye.
Little did I know the words “I do”,
were the future for you and I.
There was something between us,
that began that very day.
Two bodies filled with lust,
explored in every way.
When it was time to commit
we said the words we felt.
Hard work we both admit,
to play the cards that were dealt.
Love has its ups and downs,
wounds for every heart.
With many tears and frowns,
many from the start.
It is possible to survive,
all life’s little pains.
For the way to feel alive,
is to celebrate the gains.
All the problems from the past,
have taught us very well.
For a chance to love at last,
and escape from this hell.
To feel each other’s love,
is what we really wish.
Stored in heaven above,
sealed nightly with a kiss.
