A journey ends,
a new one begins,
and when it comes to love and friends
nobody wins
sometimes goodbye,
is the hardest word,
with a tear in the eye,
and feelings absurd.

is when the phoenix flashes,
when the old fades away
and we rise from the ashes.
I grit my teeth,
I cry for friends,
I cry for those of whom i love,
whom i trade for a new beginning.
I weep on pages that,
have seen my years,
have held my thoughts,
absorbed my tears.
Sometimes letting go,
is the only way,
to reach for that next page,
to write your life's next chapter.
Goodbye is the hardest moment,
anyone will every face,
seeing tears in crystal eyes,
as you both seperate.

thats why we mostly end up with see you soon to make us feel better. It hurts, but times fades the pain. I love the way you've described all that one feels with the mere thought of saying goodbyee to those close ones of an intimate life in the past. Great work! love it

thank you, its nice to know some people understand how hard but also how necessary it is to say goodbye to those we love im off to university in just under a months time, its a new start, a new life, i wrote this poem upon the realisation that its going to hurt a lot more than i thought, despite the benefits.... i was in a bit of a state so, the words don't really rhyme or go together so well, but this was basically just a stream of consciousness, i hope you liked it
