Illusion

We're all designed to procreate
There is no heavenly design of things
And there's no love in fate

Love is an illusion
Smoke and mirrors, tricks of mind
Aiding in genetic matches we're to find

Love is a reaction in the brain
The blissful rush we feel: chemistry
If you think about it, it's insane

Hopeless is what love is
Doomed to fail as we progress
In the self-centered interpersonal process

Two people cannot be as one
For one and one make two
So when you hear that, it's time to run

Trust me that romantic love
Is as improbable as flying cows
Just remember when you take those vows

What did you think

Thanks, it's not the best in rhythm, but it does describe my current view on the subject rather accurately
