Within the walls,
There's a girl?
One little thought
Will change her world.
She takes herself
To the lavatory.
She sits down but
Inside is a laboratory.
She waits by the door
For someone to enter.
No one ever does so
She crawls to the center.
In an unknown language,
She whispers some words.
Red eyes follow her along
With some silver birds.
The floor falls away,
But she remains.
No more eagerness,
No more pain.
She floats to nowhere
While she breathes too slow.
Nothing happens and everything
Begins to flow.
The darkness swirls but
She remains the same.
This is all, to her,
A little game.
The silence comes back
And reigns over.
The black falls away
Into the cliffs of Dover.
The sun never shines as
She becomes distant.
Her life fades into darkness,
Never resistant.
Author notes
There's a song called Cliffs of Dover. That's how the "cliffs of Dover" part came in.
I was thinking about Harry Potter when I wrote this.
Comments would be great.
