"Connected"

Arms around
smiling voice
in your face
or through space

connected

touch on the shoulder
message at the door
warmth of heart
near or apart

connected

long week
aching muscles
where is that grin
hurry, walk in

connected

tales of the day
dinner on the table
blooms in a vase
reality embrace

connected

Nice reading. Everyone seems to be writing and having contests on connectivity and oneness. There's something in the air.

Paloszoo had almost 2,000 song titles from which to choose,
and thus one struck the thoughts I had at that moment!!

Hoping the feeling stays in the air!!!!

you have beautifully captured your theme in these lines. i found myself wanting to speak aloud "connected" as i read it following each stanza as some sort of declarative victory i was stating. very nice work.

Hey, thank you for mentioning that---
for I wanted to express the click
      of the connection, a staccato
punctuation of sorts, a happy "yes!"

I appreciate the visit and your sharing of thoughts!!

I can honestly say this is on my Aes favorites list.

So many ways to keep our connections, sure, some are more preferable than others but I think what's most important is that we appreciate when we have one which you obviously do.

Everything on this page is connected...the artist herself, the words themselves, their form on the page and as always, the graphics.

    Beautiful work.

      Awe, pix, thank you!

      It's the appreciation, isn't it,
      that holds the moments,
      that and the anticipation.

      Surprises are great,
      but the anticipation
      of the expected
      adds more drama!!!

          And it also ensures
          makeup in place,
          an integral part
          of the female side
          of the equation!!!

    Connection Reflection ...

Let those that connect through space or time
Share warm insight and victim-less wine -
Those miles well-traveled are blessed by grace
And like sentiment - - - two buds in a vase!

It’s always a pleasure to find what your hands have crafted!

May you continue to share of your art! jy

  • I have no clue how you do it, so many of these wonderful poems and pictures that make the reader wonder which came first the write or the art? Every single time I look at them and read them I always wonder if you made the art first and then wrote for them or did you write and then draw to complete the write, they just always go so perfectly together. I have finally come up with an answer that I am satisfied with... I think you are amidextrious and you do both at the same time, you write with one hand while you draw with the other and you finish at the same time and since your mind is focused on the single item, well it just stands to reason that they go so well together... so you just post them side by side as siblings... roflmbo... hey, it's been a long day and my muse is gone, it's the best my natural born brain can come up with... lmbo

I loved it my dear friend, you do these so dang well, very impressive!

( but I still think the left hand was drawing while the right hand was typing!)

      Aha! You captured the element--
-right brain aesthetic guiding the left hand,
left brain logic guiding the fright hand ingers on the keys!

Such an imaginative detective, muser, are you, Suzi!!
This time the words came first, then the paper and the pen
shoved the keyboard aside. It's usually a near simultaneous
seeing in the mind. Often the drawing first, with the words
hovering in my mind, for the art is often more difficult, as
in easier to ruin with an errant line.

My high tech tools. a roll of masking tape and a pasta measurer for the
smaller circle! I like simplicity, the hand, the pen!

Thank you for the interesting commentary,

    60th contest in a year...that's 5 a month. That would drive me insane. I'm
still recovering from my last one!

There are lots of ways to stay connected, and not all of them have to be up close and personal as Howard Cosell might have said. A letter, a phone call and instant message..a Moxie sent to me in the mail...

It doesn't really take that much to stay connected in a relationship. More is usually better but whatever time you have, yes...CONNECT.

And if you both like Moxie, no worries, you are forever meant to be.

Yes, I computed the numbers instantly in my head---wow!

If only there were more magic substances like Moxie,
readily available in all parts of the world!!

Connect--yes--fullly, not with one prong hanging out.
Full attention! That may be the Moxie equivalent.

(Cosell---"I'm just telling it like it is."
      His turnaround at the end,
lamenting the brutality of the sport,
      finest moment...)
