Beneath a Starless Sky

fireflies illuminate
the balmy summer night
my lips on your neck,
your jaw, your mouth
not a star in sight

lips so soft
satin. velvet. silk.
the finest imaginable things
skin so sweet it puts honey to shame
hair like raven's wings

eyes as dark
as onyx caverns
so deep i am lost inside
this pitch black night
alight with passion
explodes as our bodies collide

in love or in lust
who knows and who cares
as i thread my fingers
through ebony hair

her breathing is quickening
ragged the sound
angels are screaming as i lay her down

flesh unto flesh
soul unto soul
slickening movement
we're losing control

taking and taking
and repaying our debt
we baptize each other
in our own salty sweat

the need only grows
the higher we fly
we ravage each other
beneath a starless sky

this paragraph was the pick of the lot.The usage onyx caverns was superb:

    eyes as dark
    as onyx caverns
so deep i am lost inside
    this pitch black night
    alight with passion
    explodes as our bodies collide

  • I hope there was a moon at least... Loved your write, you paint a vived picture and a dreamy state... This write had a lovely flow...

  • Mmmm... lovely, I do like it. I'm popping in for just a second. I'm mildly intoxicated and will come back when I'm more so. You have a way with words and an ability to melt someone with them...
