A Prayer for My Children

I Pray for My Children’s Independence, Oh Lord!
That they may know you in one accord
Lord help me not to do for my children
the things they can do for themselves
Remind them to think of others instead of themselves

Help them to know that in doing for themselves they are succeeding in life
Help each one to respect the other, be they husband or wife.
Give me the courage to allow my children to stand on their own two feet
Let them know they need you in their life to be complete
Help me not to tell them what they must learn for themselves’
And to expect no more from them, than we did of ourselves
Help me to allow them to grow into a responsible, disciplined adult.
Give them the wisdom and knowledge to know the difference between truth, and occult
However, please do this, as only you can, not to allow them too much suffering
And let them no when something is good, you’re sending them a blessing
