Families Torn by Drugs

We pray, O God of hope, and salvation
for all families
That you will give them strength and the courage that they need
those whose lives have been torn apart by drugs and alcohol.
Enable them to identify their illness, and to accept it all, and strengthen them to seek help.
For their journey is a torturous walk, not only by others, but more importantly for themselves

Bless them with the power of your loving grace, and transform them in completeness
Show them that nothing is impossible with You, and give them Your assurance
Grant them as they walk this tormented path,
Your love and compassion that will forever last
Bind them close in the bonds of love
Through all your goodness from heaven above.
