Winds swirl around deserted ruins.
Silence enhances the new morning.
Temples and domes dot the landscape.
Breathing in, and breathing out, a gift.
The rising sun and its rays breathtaking in its view.
Smokeless fog traps you inside its depth.
A quiet stream's trinkle a soothing sound; its mist a blanket.
One last breeze rests on your cheek, like a kiss, then disappears.
The air settles as the darkened moon reflects its light.
What beauty this is! An elemental reward for each breath drawn.
This is what makes the lustrous trees and green grass sway.
It disappears during the calm night, and starts its cycle all over again.

Prompt Three-Air
"The beauty of the morning; silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres and temples lie
Open unto the fields and to the sky
All bright and glittering in the smokeless air"-William Wordsworth

This is a fantastic response to the prompt, I love the way you have used to subtle references to the original, "domes" and "smokeless". The whole poem is vivid and brings the scene to life. I think the gentle tone you have created works really well and the flow of thought is fantastic throughout. Really well thought out and controlled. Very much enjoyed reading this. Thank you for entering and best of luck in the contest.
