If Jesus came today..

the moment he walks up and knocks at my home
I can only imagine opening and see him grinning at the door
the sheer shock registering on my face
and seeing my thoughts
he'll probably tell me "close your mouth son,
do you want me to come in or should we talk outside?"

for joy of my suprise he'll walk in
and I know I won't stop from staring
and when he takes a seat at the dinning table
Good lord, my thoughts will I be sharing?

"how was your day?" I'll stammer for the lack of imagination
and probably he'd laugh at my trying a conversation
but I'm sure he'll look at me just waiting for the moment
to start baring my heart with a line or a simple comment

But I know I'll have nothing to say now that he is there
just him sitting there would be enough
if ever you saw the beauty of rays of sunlight piercing a dark cloud
that beauty in that moment will be thus

If Jesus came here knocking at my door
I'll sure invite him in
for a game of scrabble I sure will enjoy
while talking of life and things.

Thanks for sharing your poem and thoughts on how it would be to meet Jesus.
Your conversations with Him and what you would do like playing a game of scrabble. Your kindness of allowing Him to come into your home and the things He might say.
It also makes me think about what I would say or do with Jesus in my home also.

Thank you very much for your entry.
