5am

The morning so calm
Even the flags are asleep

Sprinklers feeding grass
Such a pretty lawn

The tide is still out
It waits to come home

My footsteps are loud
But my pulse is quiet

Then I see
The first commuter

I love how you paint such a serene picture... then the abruptness of 'the first commuter' just turns it on it's head...the day begins....
