A cold chill
A bottle of pills
A stack of bills
A need to kill
A man named bill
Sits in front of a crackling fire place
With an emotionless expression painted on his face
Outside the snow is falling
Making his world a cold and empty place
Deep inside he knows in time
The urge will remerge
Until his thoughts linger
on her final words
"Please don't kill me!"
Her scream echoed in his ear
Then somehow he could taste her fear
And down his cheek rolled a single tear
She was buried somewhere deep beneath the snow
But her presence still remained
And wouldn't let him go
Suddenly the clock began to chime
The midnight hour has come
Just in time
He stood in front of the mirror
Peering at his reflection
A smile spread across his face
Time to feed my obsession
He quickly swallowed a pill
And griped his hat and jacket
He stepped outside with a face of determination
and piercing eyes
glowing frustration
He walked to the side of the house
And picked up a blood stained axe
Then suddenly a snowflake landed on his cheek
He paused to reach up and touch it
It made him feel incredibly weak
when in his mind appeared an image of her stone dead face
devoid of life expect for a single snowflake
Propped against her lips
Words repeated in his head
"Please don't kill me!"
her dying wish
He dropped the axe and ran in the house
He held his ears trying to block out her desperate screams
but nothing could fade out the sound of her voice
He didn't want her to die
But he didn't have a choice
He had to fulfill his deadly needs
He just couldn't hold back
Suddenly his eyes turned a solid black
He knew what he had to do
He walked outside
and searched for his axe
He told himself there’s no turning back
and with a single whack
He fell flat on his back
His frozen eyes looked up at the sky
And Bill started to cry as he slowly died
He thought what a waste
as a snowflake danced in the wind
and finally settled on his face
