There’s a wall in my mind,
And I am on the other side.
Every feeling, just out of reach.
My understanding marred by this missing piece.
There’s a wall in my mind,
And identity can’t get inside.
Every opinion is vague in form.
My self-expression, a guess at a picture torn.
And maybe I’m angry, and maybe I’m sad,
But I’m grasping at pieces that I never had
Of a self that is broken, incomplete and
Lacking the unity to understand.
