Precious

You have touched my life not only because you are my daughter, but through the amazing words of wisdom you give to me
You will never know, at least not in this lifetime, the enormous burdens you have helped to seize
I know you must think I’m a terrible person because I don’t show my gratitude the way you think I should
But honey, I would give you your hearts desire not because I am rich but because of what you are, if only I could
There is no amount of money that can be placed on a gift like a daughter and friend
No psychologist or other counselor could advise or contain the compassion to cause my heart to mend
We have been through the storms of life together and sailed the seas of despair
No other can compare to even know, the journey and the trials we shared
Who better could advise, or be the wiser than those who have been where you are?
There not found in fancy colleges, or those who attends expensive seminars
Who better can say they honestly understand when their teachings and learning’s come from books?
It is you sweetheart, that precious soul that was born with these qualities in which I look
Experience is truly the best teacher, but unfortunately it too pays its toll
I want you to know, God surly must bless you, and may He keep you as you grow old
No other person deserves to have God to walk with them
As one who loves with enduring compassion and never condemns
So walk boldly my darling and may you always feel
That love you have caused so many others to have and to heal
You are not only precious in His sight, but you have always been in mine as well
Having these qualities and through His faith, it will spare your soul from hell
What greater reward than to have an eternal life with Jesus from above
To finally be given the ultimate compassion from the creator of love?

  • You keep blessing my day and watering my eyes.
I have three daughters and as I read this I seemed to hear what I can only imagine your voice to sound like as you read this not only to your child but to my girls as well.
Thank you for such a wonderful read.

Thank you so much, honey. I love writing about the things of beauty in my life as well as others. I know I'll have many mistakes, but if it brings joy or helps anyone in any way, then I have succeeded in doing what I set out to do. Thanks Again, Nancy

And that is a gift in itself to any heart soft enough to receive it.
