Hearts of the American soul... (A 9-11 tribute)

All was calm, all was neat,
little babies screamed happily.
All those worked, smiled with glee,
to see the sun rise, and a bright week.

but no-one knew how their lives would change,
because that day, a lot of people were cast away.

A daughter looked up into the sky,
there she saw, a large plane fly by.
'look mummy!' she cried in fear,
but her mother couldn't as she couldn't hear.

Because what she heard changed her life,
the girl and her mother tragically died.
Panic chased down the streets into the hearts of the american soul,
This is the true story of the tragic events of the 9-11 told.

A young wife switched on the news,
there she saw the broken twos.
And her heart broke as she realised in pain,
that she may never see her husband again.

A brother stood outside for fresh piece of air,
but instead he choked up pieces of dirty ash,
and there he looked up into the sky,
and realised the towers were no longer there.

The whole city wept after the events,
firemen, loved ones, and heroes went.
It was a sad and lonely moment to find,
and only the rubble and the bones were left behind,

and these American souls never forgot,
what happened, and all that they lost...

Excellent write. You definitely expressed how several people felt when they discovered the towers that fell. Pain, sorrow, fear, were just some of the emotions.

Thanks for writing this write and sharing it with us. Also, thanks for joining this contest and helping us all remember 9-11
